Megan Gillenwater has been involved with horses since childhood.  She grew up showing Arabians in Hunter Pleasure, Hunt Seat Equitation, and Western Pleasure in Washington state at the 4-H,  Zone , and Regional levels before moving to Texas for college.  While in college, she developed a passion for showing her Arabians and teaching beginners how to ride.  After getting married,  she and her husband Kevin, established and operated Kegan Sport Horses in Alabama  and created a breeding program of Irish sport horses, standing the stallion Macha Breeze RID.   Meg enjoyed competing in Eventing with her Irish Sport horses until she was sidelined with a back injury.   While recovering, she continued to train young riders and stayed involved with horses.   After moving to Augusta  in 2011,  she returned to the horse community in various competitions.  Meg continues to enjoy  teaching and developing successful young riders .  She has one 12 year old daughter, Cordelia, who also enjoys riding horses.
